What is HFC 125?
HFC 125 also known as NAF s 125, is a clean agent gas used in fire suppression systems. Like FM 200 and Novec 1230, it quickly stops fires without using water or foam, making it safe for delicate equipment and electronics.
It works by absorbing heat and interfering with the fire's chemical reaction. It leaves no mess and doesn't conduct electricity, making it safe for electrical panels, data systems, and sensitive machinery.
Refilling and Hydrotesting of HFC 125 Cylinders
We at Axcel Gases provide complete refilling and hydrotesting services for HFC 125 cylinders.
Refilling: We follow precise refilling procedures using high-purity HFC 125 gas to ensure that each cylinder is filled to the correct pressure and quantity as per manufacturer and necessary guidelines. All refilled cylinders are thoroughly checked for leaks and valve functionality.
Process:
- Empty cylinders are received and visually inspected.
- The remaining gas, if any, is carefully evacuated and recovered.
- Cylinders are refilled with accurately measured Novec 1230 gas using high-precision filling systems.
- Each refilled cylinder is weighed, leak tested, and pressure checked as per standard safety norms.
Hydrotesting: Over time, cylinders are subject to wear and must undergo periodic hydrostatic testing to confirm their structural integrity. This process includes:
- Visual inspection for corrosion or physical damage
- Internal cleaning and drying
- High-pressure water testing
- Drying, painting (if required), and re-assembly
